This design for converting a set of historical industrial buildings into a university campus proposes a scenario of minimum architectural intrusion.
The theoretical context of this project consists of all the contemporary 'fun' and novelty offices which often invent their own pastiche-historical industrial aesthetic to attract an ever more hipster audience. Going against this grain, the design proposes complete re-use of the existing building fabric complemented with minor architectural interventions to create a collage-like, informal campus structure - all the while satisfying each and every functional requirement.
Competition submission in partnership with Fabrum and Kalve Arhitekti.
